Nick Valen & The Crooks
Rock and Roll Band from the Jersey Shore playing original music and kick-ass cover tunes.

Nick Valen & The Crooks didn’t come together by accident—they formed with a mission: to bring Nick Valen’s songs to the stage, the airwaves, and, most importantly, YOUR ears! Based out of the Jersey Shore, the band blends classic rock & roll swagger with heartfelt songwriting, equal parts Elliott Smith melancholy, Elvis swagger, Beatles melody, and Springsteen grit, with hints of Tom Petty and Elvis Costello for good measure.
The Crooks are:
Nick Valen – vocals, guitar, songwriter, recording engineer
Mike Scerbo – rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and sharp-dressed sidekick
Tom Chapman – bass, occasional vocals, part-time scientist, full-time groove machine
Ryan Alexiou – drums, takes no prisoners, keeps the band honest
Together, they’re more than just musicians—they’re the everyman band. One works in insurance, one performs experiments, one is a sauce salesman, and one runs the studio where the magic happens. What unites them? A mutual obsession with rocking people’s socks off, whether in a dive bar, a club or on a festival stage.
Though Nick Valen & The Crooks are new as a unit (formed in 2025), the players are seasoned veterans of the Shore scene. Collectively, they’ve hit legendary stages like The Stone Pony, Wonderbar, Jack’s on the Tracks, and Djai’s, leaving behind ringing ears and smiling faces wherever they play. The band’s debut album is slated for early 2026, with singles and in-studio live covers dropping along the way to keep fans hooked.
Nick Valen & The Crooks may be new, but they’re already stealing shows, stealing hearts, and—true to their name—probably stealing your girl's attention ;)

Meet the Fam
Born on the Jersey Shore and forged in late-night jams, Nick Valen and The Crooks exist to bring timeless rock & roll to life with a wink and a grin.
They’re not your average band—they’re taller, prettier, and (allegedly) smell better than the rest.
